Venue: All areas from Goalen Head to the Southern Most point of Disaster Bay.

Cost: $40 [non-member] per Senior Angler. Members $35 per adult Angler. Juniors $10 under 16 years old.

Juniors who pay the adult entry fee are eligible for senior prizes only.

Entries & Briefing: Friday 20th February 2026, Merimbula Big Game & Lakes Angling Clubrooms at Spencer Park, Merimbula. Doors open at 5.30pm.

All capture record sheets and photos must be at the clubhouse, fully completed, no later than 2.00pm on Sunday 22nd February.

The presentation will be held at the MBGLAC clubrooms at Spencer Park at 3.00pm on Sunday 22nd February 2026

BSR. Big Smart Reels 2026 March Marlin Tag & Release Event

VENUE Merimbula Big Game and Lakes Angling Club (MBGLAC) clubhouse situated in Spencer ParkMerimbula will be the hub of all fishing activities throughout the month. Boats can launch and return to Merimbula, Eden, Tathra or Bermagui.

ENTRY FEES
All anglers competing in the event must be financial members of the MBGLAC and affiliated with the Game Fishing Association of Australia (GFAA), NSWGFA.

Merimbula NSWGFA Affiliated members $60.00
Other club GFA Affiliated Members (inclusive of MBGLAC membership to 31 May 2027) $70.00
Junior Affiliated Member [Must have parent consent] $30.00
Non-Member &Non NSWGFA Affiliated Member $160.00

[This gets you a MBGLAC 15-month family membership and NSWGFA Membership till 31 May 2026]
Juniors and Small Fry wishing to be eligible for senior prizes must pay the full adult fees above and will be deemed to fish as an adult angler for the event.
