Venue: All areas from Goalen Head to the southernmost point of Disaster Bay.
Cost: $30. Entree Fees must paid prior to or at the briefing. Juniors under 16 are free.
Juniors are eligible for senior prizes only if the adult fee is paid. Juniors paying the adult fee are then excluded from Junior prizes.
Species: Dusky Flathead – Catch and Release, photographed on a DPI brag mat – compulsory
Briefing: Friday Friday 5th 2021, MBGLAC Clubrooms at Spencer Park Merimbula, . Doors open at 5:30pm.

This fishing competition is open to all anglers holding a current NSW Fishing Licence or are exempt from holding a licence.
In all cases the decision of the tournament committee is final, and no correspondence can or will be entered into.
All anglers participating in this event do so at their own risk and each angler agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified the Merimbula Big Game and Lakes Angling Club Inc. and its members from all liability however so arisen in accordance with this event.
Fishing times are between 5.30am and 7pm Saturday 6th and 5.30am to 2.30pm onSunday 7th. Fish caught outside this time will NOT be eligible for prizes. Anglers may fish the entire time of the competition dates.
ALL RECORD SHEETS MUST BE AT CLUBROOMS NO LATER THAN 3PM on Sunday 7th February 2021
Official Measuring Station
The MBGLAC clubrooms are the official fish measurement station. All competitors must have entered their fish lengths and photographs by 3.00pm on Sunday 2nd February to be eligible for prizes.
Prizes are based on the length of the flathead measured from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail and photographed on an official DPI brag mat (Available at the Club $10). Each photo shall also include the token that will be provided at registration. The photo must also include the lure or circle hook in situ. The photo shall be presented by entrants from their Mobile Phone or IPAD as a JPEG image. Photos without a token will not be accepted.
Fish may be caught by lure or bait and circle hooks must be used at all times while bait fishing.The MBGLAC requests that all anglers comply with fisheries regulations, and good fishing practices to ensure eligibility for prizes.
Attendance at the Tournament Briefing
Attendance at the tournament briefing is required by all adult entrants, unless prior arrangements have been made to obtain the event rules and capture token. It is essential that all adult receive their tokens. Juniors can use their family token, or request their own.
Adjustments to Length Via Digital Photos
The acceptance of a digital photo for prizes will be at the discretion of the Committee. Deductions from the apparent length will be made in circumstances where the photo does not appear to represent the true length of the fish. The decision of the committee is final.
All teams must respect the space of other boats, and not come within 30 metres of each other whilst fishing. Boats in disregard of this requirement may face disqualification from the event.

2nd Longest Flathead (either lure or bait) $300 cash
3rd Longest flathead (either lure or bait) $200 cash
- Individual longest bag of 5 Dusky Flathead $200 TackleWorld vouchers
**The longest bag shall exclude any Dusky Flathead which has won a major prize category***
1st Longest Dusky Flathead (lure or bait) – $100 TackleWorld voucher and a trophy,
2nd $60 TackleWorld voucher and a trophy,
3rd $30 TackleWorld voucher and a trophy.
- Secret Length Juniors – tackle /lures to the value of $80
- Lucky Angler Mystery Door Prize – Tackle/lure pack to the value of $100
Vouchers to be redeemed at Tackleworld, Merimbula.
The presentation will held at the MBGLAC clubrooms at Spencer Park at 4.00pm on Sunday 7th February, 2021
Anglers must be present to claim the Lucky Door prize .
There will be a Sausage Sizzle at presentation, Sunday 7th February.
ANY STATED OR ADDITIONAL PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
